The aim of the Conference is to improve student safeguarding by exploring best practices & methodologies which offer prevention, protection, and support to staff, students and the wider learning partnership.

During our conference you will hear from keynote speaker Nazir Afzal along with a stellar panel, each with unique insight and experience within the education, safeguarding, and EDI sectors. You have the chance to hear from professionals as well as students who are enabling change and improving safeguarding on their campuses, creating an environment for students to feel safe and supported, allowing them to thrive.

Our workshops have been designed to equip HE and FE institutions with the knowledge, tools, and strategies necessary to effectively safeguard students and staff from gender-based violence (GBV) within the HE and FE environment. Through interactive discussions, case studies, and practical exercises, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of GBV, enhance their awareness of safeguarding responsibilities, and develop concrete action plans to create safer and more supportive communities.
